The Law Foundation of Silicon Valley provides free legal services to clients affected by AIDS, civil injustice, unfair housing discrimination, mental and developmental disabilities, and educational and parenting teen issues. It serves the indigent residents of Santa Clara County, Calif. The foundation conducts programs, such as AIDS Legal Services, Fair Housing Law Project, Legal Advocates for Children and Youth, Mental Health Advocacy Project and Public Interest Law Firm. It provides legal training in the areas of bankruptcy, guardianship, education rights, social security claims, restraining orders, and wills and estate preparation. The foundation also offers opportunities for attorneys to participate in pro bono and co-counseling activities. Founded in 1974, The Law Foundation of Silicon Valley employs more than 20 attorneys and is located in San Jose, Calif.
