We are a family owned and operated upholstery shop that's been serving the Bay Area since 1978. We do both Residential upholstery for the general public as well as Commercial work for many local businesses. We're in the business of repairing, recovering and restoring! They had the best prices. I was on a budget and could have gotten slip covers at ikea for half the price but they looked tacky and i wanted something more custom. I loved my custom slip covers and my couch feel comfy and new again.
I have been getting my furniture reupholstered by them for years now. Recently, I was considering buying a new couch, but I'm glad I got it reupholstered with Contempo instead. It's fun to pick from the thousands of fabrics they have and you can decide how cushy you want it. I was surprised cause it costs about the same as getting a new (worse quality) piece of furniture. You can also update the design how you want it if you have pictures or an idea in your head. It is even faster than buying a new couch and waiting to get it delivered! It was fun and totally worth it!
Contempo was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I was a little hesitant because i wasn't sure if i wanted to purchase a new couch and love seat. I adored our old one but was just getting a little tired of design. I've had it for 20 years now. So i gave them a call and was please with the pricing and of course the results. it looks brand new and they were able to change the style around just a little to my liking to make it more modern looking. ask for linda. she's very accomodating and even dropped off samples at my house.
we just got our sectional done with contempo upholstery and the results was amazing. it changed the look of our family room.. doesn't even look like our old one anymore. job well done! thanks amy

I am a long time customer of Contempo Upholstery. All the pieces in my home are recovered and reupholstered by them. The prices are good and the turn around time is wonderful. If you need something reupholstered for a party or home gathering most likely it wouldn't be a problem. The had thousands of fabric samples to choose from and I'm especially picky on my fabric choose. That is the reason i went with them to begin with because they always run specials where you can get 50% off. All around great work. I would recommend.
