Mr. Arthur Thompson is a graduate of San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. Thompson Funeral Home opened on Christmas Day 1969 in Oakland, California. Mr. Thompson wanted to start a funeral home to focus on two parts: physical and emotional. The physical is burials, entombments and inurnments. The emotional is working with families to design healing experiences. Our peaceful and intimate setting becomes a place where people find closure, renewal and togetherness. And thatâ??s the most rewarding part of what we do. We offer funeral services, how to honor a life, design a unique healing experience, veteran services, grief & healing and plan ahead options.
