      The San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center, built to honor the men and women who served during the First World War, is the center of cultural activity and covers seven and one-half acres in the historic Civic Center district. It organizes and holds multiple infamous events through the gorgeous facilities including Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall, War Memorial Opera House and War Memorial Veterans Building, among others.
