Once upon a time, we " Virginia Donohue and Mark Klaiman " had 9-to-5 careers. But our fantasy was to create an environment where we could bring our dogs to work every day " to re-create the fun of a neighborhood dog park, where it's always doggy social hour.In this fantasy, we knew we wanted a place that let pets do the things that they love to do. We wanted to provide individualized attention, love and care. We wanted to create the kinds of activities that would keep pets engaged during their stay. And we knew we wanted our business to be green and to give back to the community that sustains us.We set up camp in May 1997. We've made lots of improvements along the way and still make our decisions the same way: What would our pets like?It's been an amazing journey. We are grateful to our camp counselors, our campers, and our campers' parents who allow us the privilege of caring for their dogs and cats.
