Whiz without! that's all i need on my cheesesteak...means with cheese whiz, yes whiz but no onion please. Their happy hour (sport bar like) is pretty...$3 for all beers and it is a hugh pint..... litre size available only$8...wow...good deal!

I love Cheese steak and this place is drunk food, great for hungoveroppsssdid I say that?, Yes, I always get it delivered on Sunday morning, "whiz with" is a must if you order a cheesesteak, but if you are not a big fan, get the American (it is white American) good as well.

I enjoyed the ambiance of a sports bar, and absolutely the cheesesteak, With wiz" is a must, ok...american is the only alternative! I don't like provolone but only to order with the pizza steak it is okay. Fries are great, sometime i got chili cheese fries too:)They deliver too

Best Cheese Steaks in SF. A true authentic Philly Style, with Amoroso, Whiz. Good atmosphere with Philly wall photo and sports (Eagles, Phillies) stuff. A cool sport bar.

I know Jake's steaks thru my company lunch a year ago. Since then it becomes one of my menu lists every week. I prefer eating my cheesesteaks at the store and sip my cold beer:) They have a big banner say"YOU ARE IN EAGLES COUNTRY), I know that they have a lot of eagles fans during the weekends, so, i think this probably guarantee me that I definitly get authentic philly cheesesteaks

DETAILS
General Info
Jake's Steaks was started by a Philly native who has a goal to provide the best-tasting cheesesteaks in or out of Philadelphia. It is a good sign when half the people at Jake's Steaks joint are from Philly. For the unenlightened, a cheesesteak consists of a heap of shredded beef and onion, tossed on a griddle, piled onto a uniquely chewy but tender Amoroso roll imported from Philadelphia, and topped with Cheese Whiz, which melts into the sandwich. Jake's is tucked away on a residential block, but that doesn't stop local from popping in for a beer at the eight-seat bar or grabbing a table in the small but bright space, complete with a wallpapered photo of Philly's boathouse row on the Schuylkill River.Jake's Steaks was started by a Philly native who has a goal to provide the best-tasting cheesesteaks in or out of Philadelphia.
