      Dr. Herbert is a fourth-generation physician. In 1982 Dr. Herbert was instrumental in the development of one of the first assisted reproductive technology programs in the United States at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is an internationally recognized fertility specialist who has been performing in-vitro fertilization longer than any other physician in the Bay Area. This experience provides him with a unique perspective as he incorporates the latest developments in reproductive technology into patient care. Dr. Herbert has repeatedly been singled out by his peers in two independent national surveys "Best Doctors in the Bay Area" by San Francisco Magazine and "Guide to Top Doctors" by Consumers' Checkbook. Dr. Herbert specializes in reproductive medical treatments like IUI, IVF, ICSI, egg freezing, fertility preservation and an assortment of other related fertility treatment options.
