Steve Silver's BEACH BLANKET BABYLON is the longest running, hit musical revue in theatre history. The Show premiered at the Savoy Tivoli in San Francisco's North Beach, June, 1974. It is a zany musical spoof of pop culture with extravagant costumes and outrageously huge hats. The Show's immediate popularity forced it to move to larger quarters at Club Fugazi, a North Beach landmark, where it eventually found a permanent home. Now in its 29th year of sold-out performances, BEACH BLANKET BABYLON is an internationally acclaimed San Francisco institution. BEACH BLANKET BABYLON in addition to the more than 10,000 performances in San Francisco, has performed for wildly enthusiastic audiences during its London and Las Vegas engagements. BEACH BLANKET BABYLON continually evolves in its hilarious parodies of popular icons, updating its spoofs and adding new characters, songs, and send-ups throughout the year. The show's traveling version performs regularly for conventions and priv ate groups from Tampa Bay, Florida, to Kaanapali, Hawaii.

Show the play this weekend and loved it. I had not heard of the play before and loved reading about the history. The actors were wonderful and very energetic. I would go and see it again. I highly recommend it.
We were pleasantly surprised at how fun this theatre show turned out. We are not theater people yet friends recommend it so much we gave it a try. They weave it a lot of current events into a humorous fun show. The theater feels cozy with spectacular costumes. I was impressed !
The music that they have in here is out of this world, clearly one of my favorites to go to in the city whenever I want to go dancing and drinking at the same time.
I have so many things to say about this place, all of them praises. They have a great DJ on the stand and the dance floor is so spacious, everything about this place is spectacular, especially the lighting.
This is a great club. A lot of good music and a good people to come around. I like that they have so many bars in the floor. It makes it easier to get a drink that way.
I am so stoked that I have been able to go in here. I have been trying for so long and finally a got in last Saturday and it was amazing, the best night of my life.
What a wonderful place this is. They have a great dance floor, perfect for a large group, the drinks are flowing like a free river. This place is just too fun to start with!
The ideal place to go to if you want to go dancing in the city. There are a lot of people that go in here so mingling around wouldn’t be a problem, the best dance club around.

There are so many great tunes that they play. I love that there is a bar whenever you need it, and the ventilation is just too comfortable for a dance club.
There are so many other places that I would have wanted to go into instead of this one, but when I was in here, I really didn’t mind, it’s that good in here.
This is really a perfect place for all of those people who like load noises and sweaty environment. The drinks are undeniably good so I always go as well.
