General Info
The Cleveland National Forest is spread over an area of more than 460,000 acres. It offers a variety of recreational activities, such as camping, hunting, picnicking and shooting. Established in 1911, the forest provides timber and other wood products and maintains a location in San Diego. The Cleveland National Forest serves as a habitat for several fish, bird, animal and rare plant species. It additionally provides various volunteer opportunities. The forest offers maps and brochures, as well as publishes a range of articles on wildlife-related issues. The Cleveland National Forest is a part of the U.S. Forest Service, which is an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The forest features mountains, landscapes and recreational sites.
