Jairo Alberto Romero, MD, is a board-certified geriatric medicine doctor. He provides primary care for older adults, with an emphasis on health maintenance, disease prevention and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.Dr. Romero is a respected leader in clinical geriatrics in San Diego County and has been active in supporting a number of important community resources, including the Glenner Alzheimers Family Centers and the countys Department of Aging and Independence Services. As a professor of medicine, Dr. Romero is involved in training medical students and residents at UC San Diego School of Medicine.Dr. Romero completed his residency training at Evanston Hospital. He earned his medical degree at University of Illinois.
