Jean Yu, OD, is one of San Diego’s most experienced optometrists. She provides a full range of eye care services at her practice, Neovision Optometry. Dr. Yu is a graduate of Fudan University, the most prestigious university in Shanghai, China. After graduating from Fudan, she went on to obtain a master’s degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry in New York City. She then obtained her optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Yu is a leading provider of the first FDA-approved ortho-k lens, corneal refractive therapy (CRT), which is a nonsurgical treatment for nearsightedness that provides clear vision without the use of daytime glasses or contacts. CRT can stop the progression of nearsightedness in children, and it’s a low-risk alternative to laser surgery for adults. In addition to providing CRT treatment, Dr. Yu is experienced in diagnosing and treating eye diseases, including glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
