it is the great people in Dr. Berger's office that make the difference.
I went through double jaw surgery, bilateral jaw joint replacement and genioplasty for a severe overbite. Dr. Berger and his staff are truly talented. I am so grateful that I can breathe better and chew on both sides. I am so happy I went through with this surgery. I have all of the feeling in my face and my nerves have completely healed. My quality of life has improved dramatically. The surgery also improved my side profile and appearance.

Coming into Dr Berger's office to get a complete facial rebuild including prosthetic jaw joint, 6 separate bone grafts, cutting and relocating mandible , removing previous plates and screws, 20 tooth implants, cosmetic relocating of my ear post jaw implant and more that I cant recall.......
The road getting to Dr Berger's was treacherous. Once finally here I felt home, I had landed where I needed to be,
completely comfortable and confident. Simply , in the hands of the very BEST !
I have very high and exacting standards and was amazed and astonished when Dr. Berger not only met them, but exceeded them. He cares, take all the needed time and most importantly, explains everything he will doing which to me, is extremely important. I had a surgery that was pretty profound. 5 of my upper teeth including one in the front were gone due to pulling or accident. I was confidant i chose the right man for the job. Dr. Berger is very good at everything even the very tiniest detail. Surgery was a breeze plus he placed a gum graph from my mouth to the front, making it look so fabulous in my mouth. I did not have any pain-ever. 3 cheers for Dr. Berger! i feel fantastic!

I had to come for more than one follow up after wisdom teeth removal but staff were really nice and Doctor made sure all was good before he sent me home. He is a great surgeon.

- Dr. Berger was born in Montreal, Canada, where he earned both his bachelor and dental degrees from McGill University. After earning his dental degree, he spent an additional year in advanced dental training at the McGill Graduate School of Dentistry. He subsequently earned his medical degree at the University of Washington. After completing his degree, he entered the oral and maxillofacial surgery training program at the University of Washington, where he completed general surgery and oral and maxillofacial training. He spent one year in Europe doing a fellowship at two major centers, one in Holland and one in Austria. He then returned to McGill University for an additional year of advanced training prior to coming to San Diego.Dr. Berger has lectured extensively in the United States and Canada on temporomandibular joint disorders, dental implantology and the surgical treatment of sleep disorders. He is past Chief of Maxillofacial Surgery at Childrens Hospital and Sharp Memorial Hospital and serves on the Orthodontic Advisory Committee for California Childrens Services. He is a faculty member of University of California, San Diego, Division of Plastic Surgery, and Secretary of the California Coalition of Cleft and Craniofacial Center.For his entire career, Dr. Berger has been at the forefront of his field.
