Bleak, shabby building. Miserly apartments. Tiny closets. Kitchenettes with very bad cupboards, tiny stoves. Bldg. was former medical clinic/convalescent care of some kind. Ugly paint jobs, gray industrial tile and old carpets. Poor aesthetic appeal inside and out. No courtyard. Four parking spaces for 32 units. Sporadic, often absentee management, not 24 Hr./day onsite as HUD requires. Roach problems, Past bedbugs. Limited preventative maintenance (wait until something breaks). Apartments provide a place to sleep, not a home to enjoy. Tenants are vulnerable seniors and disabled; this is the only place they can afford. Rent (relatively affordable for today's rental market (tax break property) is its only recommendation.
