We had the opportunity to have dinner at Azuki Sushi on 8/6, a Saturday evening prior to going to a play. The service as a little slow but the food was wonderful and the patio dining out back is relaxing, clean and enjoyable. What a delight! Fresh tasting food and even a desert menu with some creativity. Thanks for a wonderful dinner.

I have not had such fresh sushi in San Diego. What an awesome surprise. I was talking to a friend and we decided to try one of the new places sprouting up in the Banker's Hill/Balboa Park area. This place was the only one still serving after 9pm...and it was full of people...the cool kind (foodies). We had teriyaki, snappers, and some california rolls, and a specialty roll that was called something like "oh no they didn't.." It was all exceptionally good. The service was awesome, they cleaned up everytime a plate was empty or if I dripped saki. The sushi was presented well, the wasabi was fresh, and the chef gave us this house made orange digestif that I still am longing for. I was so happy to find this place...it will be my new secret place to bring good friends or ones I want to impress with a new place that serves great food. I love this place!!! The food is excellent, both kitchen food and sushi. It's very hard to find a place with great food and a great atmosphere especially in San Diego, but this is the place where you can enjoy both. "the Bomb" and the garlic mussels are to die for so as their specialty cocktails!
