- Veterinary SurgeryDr. Gertmenian, a California native, received an undergraduate degree at University of California Davis. She then spent 2 years volunteering in the Peace Corps teaching mathmatics! In 2002, she graduated from University of Wisconsin Madison with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Dr. Gertmenian then returned to California to complete a 1 year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. She has a strong interest in soft tissue surgery and internal medicine.
