San Bernardino County Risk Management is a department of the County of San Bernardino. The department provides services to identify and minimize the risks associated with County operations. It offers property and casualty coverage, self-insured and insured programs, workers compensation, property conservation, and risk reduction and cost containment services to County departments. San Bernardino County Risk Management provides claims processing and payment, legal defense supervision and loss prevention services. The department provides cost-benefit analysis on risk management programs and training. It also administers the County s Emergency Medical Services reimbursed program. The department s administrative section develops the operational budget, requests for proposals for services and insurance coverage and the monitors financial matters related to the programs. Its fiscal section conducts the daily tasks related to the financial operations of the department.
