Welcome to Sonterra Ophthalmology I have had the privilege of serving the ophthalmology needs of thousands of persons in the San Antonio area for over 30 years. When I left the faculty at UTHSC-SA in 1985, I started my private practice in NE San Antonio. Subsequently I moved to the Stone Oak area in 1991. Here, I established my practice under the business name "Stone Oak Ophthalmology" first in the Madison Oak building adjacent to North Central Baptist Hospital and then moved to Sonterra Boulevard. I have seperated myself from that name and location and am now doing business as "Sonterra Ophthalmology" relocating to share office space with North Central Ophthalmology. Through these practice modifications, my commitment to providing excellent eye care for you has never changed and this new independence will allow me to continue that, and if anything, enable me to even enhance that care. I am pleased to be a provider for most of your insurance plans and will continue as a Medicare and Medicaid participating physician. I am trying to get the government wheels moving to allow me to be a tri-care provider as well.
