First American Commercial Property Group began nearly a half century ago as what was then called Guy Hughes Builders, a family business specializing in residential properties. In 1987, H. Dale Kane and Brett Baillio introduced First American Realty to expand the company's interests to include commercial brokerage, development and investments in San Antonio and surrounding areas. It was in 2007 that the name was formally changed to better reflect the total range of services as well as the emphasis of future activities. Today, First American provides comprehensive brokerage opportunities for commercial real estate investors in office buildings, shopping centers, office-service center, apartments, industrial and raw land for development and land-bank management. In concert with these services, the group also offers development and investment analysis and project planning and development.
