Exceptionalities Academic Services was established in 2001, based in San Antonio, Texas. We offer educational services to meet specific educational needs of students. Our goal is to develop and provide personalized, customized, private and comprehensive academic plan that meets state standardize objectives and address the needs and learning style of the individual student. We service students from the primary grades through graduate school level. Our exclusive in-home service provides flexibility for busy schedules; hours of operation vary based on the needs of the student’s family. Client confidentiality is a high priority; special consideration is given to our client’s privacy. Family prominence, academic challenges, and health concerns are among the circumstances that necessitate the need for extreme discretion. All client information is confidential and may only be shared with licensed, degree/certified professionals with written authorization. Comprehensive academic support provided includes: individual tutoring, standardized test preparation, study skills development, ARD consulting, university searches, college applications/portfolio development, and homeschooling. Our consultants are required to: maintain documentation on students (progress, concerns), have working knowledge of students routine (sleep patterns, medication), background, and diagnosis as it relates to their ability to be academically successful, be knowledgeable of advances in academic and behavioral accommodations and modifications as well as changes in the Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM IV).
