Educational Testing Service, also known as ETS, is a nonprofit organization that provides a range of products and services to advance learning systems worldwide. It designs, develops and implements customized assessment systems and test programs for countries, states, local school districts and government agencies. The organization employs a staff of more than 2,500 people, including accountants, program administrators, customer service representatives, test security investigators, general counselors, engineers and competitive intelligence analysts. ETS also conducts several examinations, such as the TOEFL, SAT, TSE and TOEIC. Its Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) is a general test that measures analytical writing, critical thinking, and verbal and quantitative reasoning skills. In addition, the organization provides a range of assessment services that includes planning, scoring, security monitoring, policy development, research and evaluation. ETS maintains a location in San Antonio.
