- Bunion Surgery"In Nov 2021, Dr Perez performed 3D Lapiplasty surgery on my left foot. I am now 9 weeks post op and I am absolutely SOLD on the amazing results. Dr Perez is a consummate professional with extraordinary surgical insight and the skills to give you the best possible outcome. Additionally, he listened to me and understood my previous hesitation for bunion surgery. Dr Perez was my 2 nd opinion and I’m so happy that I listened to my own instincts and chose him for my surgery. In addition, I believe he interviewed and chose me on the assurance of my compliance and adherence to the “ rules” for a successful outcome and recovery. The bottom line is that I’ve experienced a virtually pain free experience, little down time, zero need for opiates, and quick healing. Nine weeks out, I am in an athletic shoe full time and back in the gym. I credit my great experience to Dr Perez and his expertise. Get the surgery, don’t wait decades like I did. Just do it!"

- BunionsA bunion is a common ailment in the feet in which a few of the bones in the front of your foot are moved out of place. When this occurs, a bony bump will form on the joint at the base of your big toe. This bump can become extremely painful, and can prohibit you from wearing shoes or even walking properly. Bunions can be the result of tight or ill-fitting shoes, undue stress to your feet, or chronic arthritis.

- FungusDistal subungual onychomycosis (DSO), the most common type, which infects the skin inside the nail and on the nail bed. DSO is caused by the same fungus that causes athlete’s foot.;
- Sports MedicineThe team at San Antonio Podiatry is committed to a non-invasive approach, and many sports injuries will simply require a cast or brace to heal. However, there are some cases in which surgery is the best option for patients to regain full range of motion and live without chronic pain. Our patient-first policy guides us to treat every case on an individual basis, so you can trust that your podiatrist will discuss all of your treatment options and help you choose the appropriate plan.
- Physical TherapyPhysical therapy is an essential component of an effective sports injury treatment plan, especially after surgery. After a period of rest, physical therapy helps restore strength and movement to the area of your injury. This promotes proper healing, helps manage pain post-treatment, and serves to prevent a loss of mobility or permanent damage that can result in chronic pain.
