Discovery Elementary School, founded in 1991, is governed by the Issaquah School District. The school provides education to approximately 700 students in prekindergarten through grade five. It runs Eager Readers and Caring through Sharing programs. Discovery Elementary School organizes art shows, science fairs, family fun nights and field days. The school has a library that stocks a variety of picture dictionaries, storybooks, puzzles, and quiz, fiction and nonfiction books. Its parent-teacher-student association enhances the educational experience of children and their families by working in partnership with teachers, educational staff and the local community. Discovery Elementary School offers classes in English, math, science, social studies, language arts and physical education. The school is located in Sammamish, Wash.
