Come to 'Playful City USA' Saluda NC 28773 and visit us, Saluda Gem Mine Wicks & Wares. Our open air covered deck sits right next to the railroad tracks and across from the Saluda Post Office. You can purchase fossil find buckets, and/or different size gem and mineral buckets. Sift through the dirt in our water trough sluice box. We also have on loan from the Historic Ashley Museum here in Saluda from 42 years ago, a collection of minerals and gemstones found local here to our area. Inside the shop we have amazing smelling therapuetic Soy Candles made right here in the shop, by Melisa herself. Jams and Jellies are made here in Saluda by Ms Rose and the Honey is harvested from a family in Hendersonville. We have a other gifts available in our shop.

We just opened July 4th 2014 and will grow as we age. Very interactive with our customers and feel each miners experience is personally important to us. We can also host birthday parties here too. Inquire within for more information on that. We have available for purchase soda's and other drinks including slushies. Restrooms kept clean and easily accessible. You are apart of the family when you visit Saluda Gem Mine. Come on down listen to the music, socialize, let the kids have fun. There are other shops here in Saluda that you can visit while you are here. Rafting next door, tubing down the river, zip lining, to name a few other activities here.
