The Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing is an agency within the Utah Department of Commerce. It is legislatively charged to administer and enforce specific laws related to the licensing and regulation of certain occupations and professions in Utah. The Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing issues licenses in more than 60 categories of licensure. It reviews more than 20,000 applications and processes over 70,000 renewal applications every year. It also houses several independent programs specifically related to its licensing and investigative functions.
