Odyssey House, established in 1971 and located in Salt Lake City, is a nonprofit drug-free, residential therapeutic community. It provides treatment of drug and alcohol addiction, emotional problems, and social rehalitation. The community offers a wide range of programs, including adolescent treatment, adult substance abuse program, women's and children's programs, vocational rehabilitation services, and aftercare,outpatient and prevention services. Odyssey House also provides psychological and psychiatric services, coping and social skills training, parenting skills, transitional living, and sexual abuse abuse trauma treatment. It operates Odyssey Academy, an alternative high school that offers academic programs to students throughout the year, providing the flexibility to accommodate new students at any time. Odyssey House s high school is accredited by the Salt Lake City School District.
