The Transportation Department offers transportation services to school students. The department is a part of the Rowan-Salisbury School System, which serves students in kindergarten through grade 12. The system s schools offer educational programs in reading, music, language arts, math, English, science, social studies, physical education, computer applications and foreign languages. Its schools organize a range of athletic activities that include football, volleyball, basketball, softball, baseball, cross country, track and field and soccer. The system s schools maintain libraries that stock books and reference materials. It operates more than 25 elementary, middle and high schools. The Transportation Department is located in Salisbury, N.C.
