• Infectious Diseases
  The Immunology Division Outpatient (IDO) Clinic is a comprehensive primary care clinic serving adults with HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases, such as tuberculosis, sexually transmitted infections, and more. In addition to medical services, the clinic provides free HIV testing and counseling, laboratory, case management, health education, treatment adherence education, mental health counseling, outreach, and referral services.

  Dr. Volpe specializes in urogynecology, pelvic organic prolapse, and bladder and bowel incontinence and dysfunction in women. She earned her medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University. Then, Dr. Volpe completed her residency at the University of New Mexico Health Science Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She went on to complete a fellowship in Female Pelvic medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Southern California. Dr. Volpe is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and urogynecology/reconstructive pelvic surgery.

• Obstetrics
  Dr. Mario Pauda is a family physician who also specializes in obstetrics. Dr. Pauda graduated from the US Air Force Academy with a bachelor’s in physics and received his master’s in physics from the University of Texas in Austin. After he graduated Stanford School of Medicine, he completed his residency at Natividad. He then worked for Valle Verde Medical Group before opening his practice Costa Central Medical Group 17 years ago.
• Endometriosis
  Dr. Lilja provides an integrated approach to the diagnosis and treatment of cancerous and noncancerous (benign) conditions of the female reproductive system, such as endometriosis, fibroids, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, and pelvic masses, among others. He earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Lilja completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Michigan. He is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology in addition to gynecologic oncology. Dr. Lilja speaks English and Spanish.

  Natividad offers comprehensive mental health services with 24-hour care. Our state-licensed psychiatric center has 22 beds, and is a locked inpatient facility. We offer acute mental health care in a safe, structured, pleasant and secure environment. Our services include psychiatric, medical, and diagnostic evaluations. We also provide skilled interventions by licensed and experienced staff, patient education and medication management, group therapy, and daily psychiatric sessions. We know how important family involvement and support is in health care, and we offer family education and support. Our care also includes comprehensive discharge planning and referral services.

  The Diagnostic Imaging Department is committed to achieving ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) to reduce the amount of ionizing a patient receives from imaging procedures.  The department uses nationally recognized protocols from the American College of Radiology to achieve the lowest dose possible, while providing the highest quality of imaging.

  The Interventional Radiology (IR) Department provides minimally invasive procedures and pre- and post-procedure patient care for inpatient and outpatients of Natividad. The use of multiple imaging methods (such as fluoroscopy, computerized tomography and ultrasound) allows our interventional radiologist to diagnose and treat conditions of the thorax, abdomen, pelvis and extremities. Therapies can include angioplasty, embolization, drainage, stent placement, and thrombus management, among others. The IR Department works in collaboration with the Natividad Trauma team and Surgical Services to provide immediate medical care for patients experiencing traumatic injuries.
