The Salem Family YMCA is a nonprofit organization that provides aquatic, child care, community development, art, sports, and health and fitness programs. Located in Salem, Va., the organization s facilities include a swimming pool, gymnasium, fitness center, aerobic studio, running tracks, and babysitting and computer rooms. It provides a variety of swimming lessons and scuba and water fitness programs. The Salem Family YMCA offers water exercises and sports, including synchronized swimming and master competitive swimming for individuals above age of 18. The organization s adult programs include strength training, injury rehabilitation and personal fitness classes. It additionally provides classes in yoga, tai chi, aerobics, martial arts and cycling.
