Cascade Cardiology was founded on March 3, 2003 by a small crew dedicated to teamwork, innovation, integrity, compassion and excellence. Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Kirk Walker, along with Sue Snider, an RN specializing in heart failure, and Timothy Taber, an echocardiography sonographer, started the practice in Keizer, Oregon. Satellite clinics were subsequently established in Woodburn and Silverton. In 2005, Cascade Cardiology relocated to the Center for Outpatient Medicine building next to Salem Hospital to gain greater accessibility to their hospitalized patients. As the practice grew, it was necessary to move off campus to provide a state-of-the-art clinic for evaluation and treatment of chronic cardiovascular disease. In May of 2011, Cascade Cardiology relocated to the Meridian Building in Salem. Cascade Cardiology is an accredited facility in both nuclear medicine and echocardiography.Our team of doctors, advanced practice practitioners, nurses and administrative staff works passionately to serve our patients. Our collaborative team approach is highly successful in the diagnosis and treatment of difficult or unique cases. We subscribe to current evidence-based care and treatment for our patients. We take pride in our involvement with regional and national programs, often coordinating care for complex patients. This strategy, providing excellent care locally and tapping into regional and national expertise ensures that our patients and the communities we serve are guaranteed innovation, integrity, compassion and excellence whenever they seek help and advice for their cardiovascular health.Dr. Maziar Azadpour joined the practice in 2006. An interventional cardiologist, he specializes in advanced angioplasty and stent techniques for the treatment of cardiovascular disease and myocardial infarction, as well as nuclear cardiology and echocardiography.In 2008, Dr. Ashit Patel, an electrophysiologist, joined Cascade Cardiology and established our cardiac arrhythmia, pacemaker and defibrillator program. He specializes in the treatment of complex arrhythmias, advanced heart failure therapies and placement and management of cardiac devices.Interventional cardiologist Dr. Harminder Gandhok joined the practice in 2009. He brings with him extensive knowledge and experience diagnosing and treating peripheral artery disease. He specializes in peripheral interventions, coronary interventions and nuclear cardiology.In 2011, Dr. Chad Carr joined Cascade Cardiology. He has a special interest in the treatment of heart failure, bringing much experience from his research at OHSU. He is certified in diagnostic and nuclear cardiology, as well as echocardiography.
