I was told directly by the staff they pay 70% of spot. Wearable or scrap.. flat rate 70% of spot. 30% margin huge on gold. At $1,300.00 an ounce that's $390.00 per ounce. Of profit they make on you. Also remember that 14K gold is only approx 65% GOLD which means you need 1.6 ounces of 14K jewelry to get $1300 then they take 390.00 of the value, in addition to assuming the gold has any resale value being that it is good wearable jewelry( which could sell for 300% scrap prices in a retail environment...like the one you're frequenting) so on a good day, your 500 dollar retail ring will bring you 70 dollars to a gold buyer, 100 on Facebook, or 300 in the gold buyers glass showcase. you decide.

After calling around to multiple locations to find a fair price for my silver i came down to Capital coin. When he was counting up the value i noticed that he was shorting me almost 16% the value of all my us mint silver coins. when i called him on it and simply asked him to honor spot price he kicked me out of his store. great way to do business welcome to the 21st century.
