The Building Codes Division, also known as BCD, offers permitting services to the construction industry in Oregon. It provides code development, administration and inspection services. The division also assists the local government departments. The Building Codes Division facilitates economic development activities. The division certifies the state's building officials, inspectors, plans examiners and master builders. It offers continuing education and enforcement programs. The Building Codes Division additionally administers a boiler and pressure vessel permitting and inspection program. It issues code interpretations and operates a regional program services section. The division is a part of the Department of Consumer & Business Services.
