We are so dissatisfied with the principal, and teachers at this school, tied together with the common core curriculum we are thinking of privately schooling our children or following his regular schooling with a homeschool program. This school is straight up just a bore and so not fun at all. I say that because it seems like this school puts its students down and has no idea what to teach. My student is learning how Michael Jackson is important in Black History....are you kidding me? He also is a popular kid and as punishment he has been taken out of class to go run around the playground (not being told or consulted at all.) I'm actually furious with this school and am appalled how the students are treated like its a prison. Seriously.

My child attended school there last year (kindergarten) and 1st grade. This year my son is miserable. We have a NEW teacher who seems to find it appropriate to have her class start before school actually starts, forcing the children to be in some sort of last minute rush than the other 500 students at the school. Besides the curriculum that Oregon has adopted (the most ridiculous curriculum most educators have heard of COMMON CORE), this school appears to struggle to keep the kids barely passing. The younger kids have one recess, (this may apply to the whole school). I don't care for the attitude of the principal or her two front desk staffers. I feel so sad that my child goes to his school. I recommend if your child is just an average learner, like mine. He is popular and well liked by his classmates, and he is constantly being made an example of by his teacher by being held in from recesses, having snacks taken away (because they aren't healthy enough) and the list goes on.
