I'm a hardworking young man, working 3 jobs and often times 80+ hours a week. I found a beautiful used Audi T4 Roadster from Salem Auto that I was planning on purchasing. Everything seemed okay so I placed a $500 deposit, and waited for my bank to approve my loan. It was then denied because Salem Auto had priced the car $5000 OVER the NADA value. I notified Salem and they said they would try to get me back as much of my $500 deposit as they could.

3 months later they KEPT MY $500 DEPOSIT AND MADE NO ATTEMPT to work another deal with me. I walked into another dealership and bought a $3000 more expensive car without issue. They SCAMMED me. BUYERS BEWARE.

Tony at Salem Auto just completed annual service on my horse trailer, an excellent experience. Got an appointment right away, dropped it off Wednesday, picked it up Friday. Very thorough safety inspection, top to bottom. Competitive price. Helped with parking and unhitching. Definitely will return for future work, highly recommend.

Purchased 05 Subaru Outback about two months ago. Price was fair. No problems with car to date. Anthony was friendly and professional, as was his service staff. I didn't sniff any danger dealing with him, which is more than I can say for some of the other used car dealers I dealt with. They're a small shop. I'm happy with my purchase. Thank you.

I bought 2 subarus from him and he kept the latest car for 2 weeks. Was supposed to diagnose it when 1st problem occurred after 2 months of ownership. New day, new problem suddenly surfaced. Paid $600 plus for a rental car when my car was promised to me 5 days earlier. Never received a written estimate and found out work was done without my say so. No 30 day warranty either. Filing a DMV complaint. Head gaskets were going when I bought it and was reasurred tires had a half life. Tires were near bald after a week--Wouldn't even pick up some of the tab on the rental car and lied about when it was going to be ready. Already filed a complaint with the BBB.

I was upset when I wrote the above review and I apologize. Anthony and Tony went above and beyond to rectify my issues. Could not be more pleased with their response and customer service. Thanks guys! You've got my trust and I'll be your regular customer.

I bought my 03 Mazda Miata from Anthony (May 2015). The car had an online price of $5000, but I was told that was the old price and was charged $5700, after he added a $200 dealer convenience fee. I was reassured the the car had no problems and would pass MA inspection. Within less than 16 hours of owning the car the battery completely died, and the car started to read a P0300 code (misfire). After towing the car to a Mazda dealership and another $1500 later, I was told the wiring had been tampered with which caused the ECU to go. After multiple phone calls to see if Anthony would at least pay a portion of the cost of repairs, I was consistently told "he wasn't in the office" and have not heard from him after the 4th message. This is a dealer who buys cars from auctions to flip them for a few bucks, and could not have the decency to at least give a quarter of a tank of gas to someone who just played cash for a car off their lot. If you're thinking of buying a car from here, consider making it your last choice.
