BEWARE!!! Unfortunately, Bobby Quigley performed our home inspection. Bobby explained his findings including reassuring me several times that the foundation was structurally sound, as this was my main concern. The week after we closed, our handyman questioned the foundation of the home after noticing a 1.5 inch slope on the entryway door. We then hired a structural engineer to reinspect the home for a second opinion. His findings identified several locations where the homes structure was clearly compromised. He also told us that our original inspector should have never missed these obvious discrepancies and should have brought it to our attention, as it would have deterred us from purchasing the home. After calling Bobby to question his findings, he reinspected our home and agreed the foundation needed attention but blamed it on being an old home. We also spoke with Tarin Quigley, operations manger, and she assured us they would take care of it and make it right. We were quoted over $10,000 for the foundation repair and were told by multiple contractors that a licensed professional inspector should not have missed such a discrepancy. After consulting with a lawyer, we were advised that we would not have a case because of the home inspection agreement that we signed which states .if we fail to perform the services or are careless or negligent in the performance of the services, our liability is limited to the fee paid for the services ..There will be no recovery for consequential damages. Needless to say, Bobby never made it right. In fact, we were charged twice for the initial and follow-up inspection and have incurred the costly expense of fixing our foundation due to Mr. Quigleys negligent practice.
