St. Charles Community College is a two-year college, located in Cottleville, Mo., that serves residents of St. Charles County in the state. Founded in 1986, the college offers career or transfer programs to a four-year college. It enrolls more than 7,000 students and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, a commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Its courses include accounting, biology, business administration, health information technology, history, computers, criminal justice, dance, education, journalism, nursing, physical education and theater. It also offers learning opportunities outside the classroom through internships, fieldwork and community service. It offers support services, such as counseling and placement.
