The North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters represents more than 20,000 union members and their families from over 25 local unions in Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. It is chartered by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, which represents cabinet makers, carpenters, floor coverers, lathers, millwrights, and pile drivers in the United States and Canada. The North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters works to protect and elevate the economic and social condition of workers. It oversees a staff of nearly 100 employees. The council administers various apprenticeship and upgrade training programs for its members. The North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters conducts a variety of community projects that include donating blood, supporting veterans and doing home repairs. In addition, it publishes North Country Carpenter, which is a quarterly magazine.
