love there food been going there since i was a kid it truely is the best around!!!!!
I also have been coming back for over 30 years. I used to live in Oakdale and NSP was just around the corner. I now drive the 20 miles out of the way for special dinner. We have lived all over the country and always missed take-out from Shangri-La NSP or South Robert Street locations. Best Chinese food around, bar none.
The egg rolls are to die for.
25 years ago, my boyfriend introduced me to Shangri La. The pork fried rice and egg fu yung are about all I've eaten. The pork fried rice is my favorite. Now, I live 400 miles away and try to make it to Shangri La when I'm in town. (Don't go on holiday weekends as they are closed.) The owner always remembers me and makes me feel welcome.
I grew up on there food so maybe i'm partial, If your looking for anything from good chowmein to special order they have it. They make it while you wait. You have to try the chicken wings!! egg rolls, o.k all of it.###The owner is a great guy and loves what he does and it shows through his cooking.###I drive 70 miles round trip just so I can have his chowmein.
Our favorite local carry out! We love to walk there in the summer, especially on Fridays during the car show.
