- Comprehensive Examination*Some service require a physical examination at the time of service regardless of past exam history. Some patients may need more frequent exams and/or labwork to provide certain services or ongoing medications.
- Parasites Treatment and ControlWhile most information on preventative veterinary healthcare refers to dogs and cats only, our exotic pet friends need regular exams and care too. An annual physical exam is advised for all species. Most of them do not need vaccinations, and some are difficult or risky to safely acquire adequate blood samples for diagnostic testing. But all species can be impacted by intestinal parasites, so routine fecal testing is advised. And discussing their husbandry (housing, diet, lighting, etc.) is a good way to ensure you are providing the best environment for their continued health and comfort.

- Parvovirus Infection TreatmentVaccinations (also known as immunizations, inoculations, or “shots”) are crucial to prevention of communicable, preventable, and often fatal or debilitating diseases like rabies, distemper, parvovirus, Lyme disease, communicable hepatitis, herpes and respiratory viruses. Many are given every 1-3 years, are minimal cost and provide excellent prevention for against these devastating diseases. We believe that lifelong vaccination against core and lifestyle dependent exposures is important for all dogs, cats, ferrets and some exotics.

- Heart Disease TreatmentComputerized EKG – An electrocardiogram, also called an EKG or ECG, is a set of readings that measure the electrical activity in an animal’s heart. Electrodes attached to your pet pick up data that is recorded in graph form so our vet team can identify cardiac conditions or abnormalities. Our computerized EKG system can upload this data to computers or other data devices for instant access and sharing.
- Periodontal Disease TreatmentDid you know that 7 out of 10 pets over the age of 3 have significant dental disease? Did you know that with routine dental care, many of these could be prevented? We all know that regular visits to our dentists are important. Our pets can experience the same problems with tooth decay, gingivitis, bad breath, periodontal disease and resulting pain that we can experience. Proper preventative care (toothbrushing, chews and diet) and regular cleanings can prevent many of these conditions and keep your pet’s mouth healthy for their whole life.

- Dental SurgeryA team will be with your pet through the anesthesia and dental procedure. Your pet’s veterinarian oversees the procedure and performs any extractions or oral surgery required, and assesses all the dental radiographs. A certified veterinary technician administers anesthesia, cleans and polishes the teeth and takes mouth radiographs. An additional veterinary technician or highly trained technician assistant monitors your pet’s vitals and reports to the veterinarian and veterinary technician throughout the procedure to ensure your pet’s safety. This team will remain with your pet until he/she is recovered from anesthesia.
- Veterinary SurgeryEven if you’ve had a pet have surgery before, you may not know exactly what went on that day. If this is an elective procedure, your pet’s surgical procedure has been planned for ahead of time. We ran labwork, maybe did some x-rays to evaluate their readiness for anesthesia. You scheduled a day to bring them in and leave them in our care. Hopefully you set up a intake appointment to go over consent forms and treatments plans at the beginning of the day. If it was not a planned procedure than labwork will be run in the hospital STAT and then reviewed by the doctor to ensure that surgery and anesthesia are as safe as possible for your pet at this time as possible.
