Founded in 1977, Benjamin E. Mays International Magnet School is an International Baccalaureate school that has been certified by Primary Years Programme. The school offers enrichment classes in art, science, physical education and vocal and instrumental music. It operates a discovery club that offers before- and after-school programs. Benjamin E. Mays International Magnet School serves students in kindergarten through grade six. The school s academic curriculum includes a variety of subjects, such as math, language arts, social studies, computer literacy and vocational arts. It encourages students to participate in a range of extracurricular activities, including band and student council.
