After agreeing on buying, going over all details with the finance manager and being assured we would receive all the needed paperwork within 5 -7 business days so we could transfer our tags from our trade in, get the loan/warranty paperwork, etc., we drove our new Nissan home. That was Nov. 28, 2008........it's now January 18th and still no paperwork. Last we were told we owed the dealership an extra $500 and their policy was to hold the paperwork until it was paid.We owed????? Nobody ever asked for any additional monies the night we took delivery of the vehicle.....the dealership never called us telling us we still owed money; we never received an invoice for this? Now, its been well over the 30 day period to transfer our plates at the title office and pay sales tax.I don't even know it its legal to continue to drive the car.I've contacted the Missouri authorities and BBB; hopefully they will intervene! What a ripoff!!!!!!!Is it even logical for any dealership to allow a customer to drive away in a brand new car supposedly still owing them $500 without some sort of an agreement to pay it or a post dated check, credit card number, etc.We are at wits end!!!!I'm ready to take the car back and tell them thanks, but no thanks..........!!!!!
