The St. John Police Department offers crime protection services for the residents of the city of St. John. It also provides foot and bicycle patrolling and traffic enforcement solutions. The department conducts a college scholarship program through community partnerships with local businesses. The St. John Police Department participates in the St. Louis County Drug Task Force, St. Louis Major Case Squad and Missouri Amber Alert Systems. The department also administers the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program. It additionally operates detective and administration divisions and serves more than 6,800 residents. The department maintains Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving section. The St. John Police Department provides neighborhood dispute mediation and partnership assistance services.
