Areas of specialty include breast reconstruction and reduction, and breast augmentation/lift. She applies the latest techniques, including Wise pattern mastectomy and reconstruction for the large breast.Dr Plikaitis is interested in research into breast reconstruction, the comparison of Wise pattern mastectomy and autoderm breast reconstruction versus traditional techniques in the ptotic breast, and use of fat grafting and form-stable implants in the irradiated breast.
