Rizzo's South County serves the finest in authentic Italian cuisine in a casual and family friendly atmosphere. The relaxed ambiance is perfect for business lunches and also for family outings, as children are always welcome. But keep the kids away from the great bar, which serves great cocktails and ice-cold beers, but to adults only of course. Rizzo's also offers a take-out service for the homebodies of St. Louis. Recommended.

Provided by YPmobileI love this place, and was surprised to see all of the negative comments. The food is very good, more of an authentic Italian fare than other Italian restaurants in this area.

Provided by YPmobileI got food poisoning from this place. The waiter we had was rude and looked at me like an idiot when I asked for a side of broccoli. I got the fettuccine alfredo and it had wayyyy too muxh butter!

Provided by YPmobileTried to go to one of our other South County favorites with a party of 8, but wait was 2 hours. Got into Rizzo's in less than 30 minutes. Food was excellent. Service was great too, despite a busy dining room. Still one of our regular stops for Italian...has been for almost 20 years.

Provided by YP.comMe and four other guys I work with go to patron Rizzos at least 2-3 times a month for lunch. Things have always been pretty good, but today all of that changed forever.
The food was good we were talking joking around having a good time. One of the guys who was with us went to take a drink out of his soda, and noticed a huge lipstick mark on his glass. He made the waitress aware of the issue and all she had to say was, "oh gross."
We then sat there waiting for her to come back with a solution for the issue, but instead we were given the totals on how much we owed for lunch. Figuring my friend would handle this himself I stayed out of it, but he was offered nothing, not even a half #ss apology for what occured. We then figured well we may as well pay and see what happens.
Four out of the five of us paid using a debit card, however my friend who had the issue with the lipstick paid cash. We sat and waited, and he never received his change nor an appology of any kind. What's even worse is just two weeks before, there was another issue with receiving silverware with food dried on it.. I would have already contacted th health department but since I wasnt the one with the lipstick on my glass, I felt it wasnt my issue.
I cant help but wonder due to the sanitation of the facility, how clean was the plate I ate off of, and how dirty was the glass I drank from.
They have the X as far as I am concerned. The only reason there is a one out of 5 star is because I had to choose something.
The health department should be contacted so a surprise inspection can be checked into.

Provided by YP.comThis past Saturday 7 members of my family went to Rizzo's for a late lunch /early dinner. It was around 3:30 in the afternoon. When we arrived I commented on the Chicken Spedini special for $6.95 at the front door, the hostess heard me and said " actually for you guys it would be $8.95 since you have over 5 in your group". This was silliest thing I have ever heard and I conveyed this to the hostess. At my husbands urging I went to the table and let it rest. After mulling over this for a couple of days I wish I would have asked to speak to the manager and told them my feelings and then went somewhere else for dinner. At $8.95 the meal was still a great price but to be told this by the hostess was just crazy. Sadly this visit has caused me to have a very different opinion of this place. The food was good but the portions for those who ordered off the dinner menu are alot smaller than they used to be, the salad had no cheese, and the service was subpar. This will be my last visit to Rizzo's!
