Founded in 1946 as a wholesale distributor of gasoline and fuel products, Midwest Petroleum has become one of the leading convenience store operators in the United States. Headquartered in St. Louis, the company expanded with the acquisition of Bolch Oil properties. The company sells ConocoPhillips and CITGO branded gasoline from its more than 50 fuel pumping locations. Saint Louis Business Journal featured Midwest Petroleum as one of the top privately-owned companies throughout St. Louis. It is a member of the Missouri Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association, the National Association of Convenience Stores and the Petroleum Marketer Association of America. In addition to diesel, propane and gasoline, the company provides a selection of dairy products, bakery items and farm produce.
