I have used this vet for a few years. While I do find him quite caring, in the last few contacts he is not as willing to adjust his schedule in an emergency. He has also raised his prices quite a bit.

Dr. Kopf is wonderful. When our own vet was out of town and unable to euthanize our beloved 17 year old cat, I called Dr. Kopf, whom had been recommended by a friend. Dr. Kopf was quick to readjust his schedule and came the next day. He was kind, unbelievably gentle, and completely empathic. His warmth and kindness during it all (toward our kitty and us) was sincere. As difficult as it was to see our little family member go, it really could not have been more peaceful. Instead of dying at a vet's office, our kitty passed away in his favorite kitty bed while in the garden surrounded by flowers. I am convinced that he felt no fear or discomfort. Afterward, although I received no message of condolence from our regular vet, Dr. Koft sent a beautifully handwritten sympathy card. If we have to make the difficult decision at some point to have our other elderly kitty euthanized, I want to have it done by Dr. Kopf. He's a saint.
