Edgewood Children's Center, founded in 1834, offers diagnosis and treatment of children suffering from emotional, behavioral and communication disorders. It provides residential facilities, and long and short-term residential and day treatment programs to children. It offers special education classes for students that include individual, family and group therapies, art, music and recreational activities, speech and language therapy, psychiatric and psychological consultation, occupational therapy and case management. The center also provides autism services that include social skills training, speech, occupational, music and language therapies. Edgewood Children's Center is located in Webster Groves, Mo., and is affiliated with the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children.
