Established in 1973, the Affton Fire Protection District provides a variety of fire protection and suppression services. The fire district provides training in hazardous materials incident mitigation and vehicle accident rescue and extrication operations. The Affton Fire Protection District also offers training in federal security issues, as well as building code enforcement and inspection services. It provides emergency medical services and maintains an ambulance. The fire district operates various fire stations that are manned by several paid and volunteer staff members. It maintains a fleet of engines and ladder trucks. The Affton Fire Protection District is located in Affton, Mo.
