- Kitchen RemodelingMember Comments: Overall we were very pleased with the work. While there were a couple small glitches, this company dealt with them in a very constructive and professional manner. It is very unusual to find a company with this kind of integrity. Also of particular note is their willingness to complete the job even when things were not going well. DL only provided some of the materials while we provided the faucet, countertop, sink, and shower valves. After they finished, the vanity drain kept leaking and DL came back out to my house 4 or 5 times to try to fix it. After a while, I determined through the process of elimination that the sink itself was malfunctioning. Jon knew that the issue was through no fault of their own and they had no obligation to help out but had his guys install the new sink. Very outstanding customer service!!! Special thanks to Dean & Larry who did most of the work and Jordan who came out to try to fix the leak.
- Bathroom RemodelingComplete bathroom remodel. Tile floors, crown moulding, new baseboards, window sills throughout. Stacked stone on front of home.
- FlooringDescription of Work: Removed old carpet, linoleum, and tile from 2300 Sq Ft home and installed hardwood flooring and tile.
- Door Installation/Replacement
- DrywallsMember Comments: Designer Lifestyles employees showed up promptly the first day, due to plumbing issues they could not proceed as I had to call our my plumber, following morning they showed up promptly again and encountered another old plumbing issue where my personal plumber had to come out again. By the third day into renovation, the rest of the existing floor removed, they had to move an existing wall forward to cover old plumbing as I was getting a free standing vanity...by the 4th day the new tile floor installed, prepared all new drywall for painting....5th day new baseboards, new vanity, toilet and lighting installed. I am extremely pleased with the professionalism with this company, looking forward to using them again in the near future.
- FramingDescription Of Work: Designer Lifestyles built up the existing concrete slab with "mud" so that rain water will drain over the existing aluminum framing and installed 500 sq ft of wood-look porcelain tile in our screened enclosure ("bird cage").
- Tile InstallationDescription of work: Remodel a Bathroom Comments: They did an excellent job. The technician was a real craftsman. The re-wiring, installing a pocket door, and tile work were all very well done. This is the second time I have used them (last time was several years ago to install a wood floor), and it was an excellent job. I would highly recommend them.
- FireplacesDescription of Work: Removed carpeting and pad from dining room, great room, closets and hall. Removed tile flooring in kitchen and foyer. Installed hardwood flooring in all those areas. Replace threshold on French doors. Finished with 1/4 round throughout all spaces. Removed old facing from fireplace and hearth and replaced with tile.
- CarpetingMember Comments: I reached out to Jon and Chris after reading such positive reviews here on Angie's list. From the start they were extremely responsive and flexible to my schedule. Jon, Chris and Steve made the planning and selection of materials very smooth and worry free. We have originally scheduled this job for today (17 November) just in case closing was delayed but Chris asked me to call once we closed to confirm. Once I did that, they immediately worked our project in for the 11th so that we could get this completed sooner. Once the team ripped out carpeting we realized that none of the concrete below was level so there was a delay of two days as they worked on that first. Finished floors are beautiful and the house looks like they always had them in! Thanks for such a great experience!

- DemolitionMember Comments: Estimate was fair and very thorough. However, I would recommend "worst case scenario" being spelled out for unleveled floors and minor slab cracking in Florida (not structural). Cost increased 30% to address defects and ensure 10 yr. guarantee. Worth it in the long run, but was a bit of sticker shock. Storefront on Blanding Blvd has large selection of high quality tiles and wood floors. Selection was quite simple once eliminations were made. Start date delayed to week after Thanksgiving with estimate of 1 week to complete. Actual demolition took a bit longer because old tile was difficult to remove. Entire project took 8 work days (Mon-Fri). Each team supervisor was professional, communicated clearly with us throughout the phase of project and ensured site cleanup at end of each day. Crew members were excellent. Overall, am very pleased with the work. We love our new floors!
