      Schlafly redefined beer by creating the craft movement in St. Louis in 1991. From day one, our founders challenged the status quo with a diverse collection of flavorful styles brewed in small batches with traditional recipes and methods. For years beer lovers have relaxed in our classic pubs with a pint and a bite to eat. Today Schlafly Beer continues to celebrate our legacy of authentic high-quality brews and hospitality at historic Schlafly Bankside. Officially established in 2020 the riverside structure’s history is rooted in the story of Westward expansion, sitting near the original launching site of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. In the early 90’s it became Trailhead Brewing Company and remained one of Schlafly's few brewery friends on the craft beer scene for 25 years. We were honored when their team asked us to take over such a crucial piece of St. Charles history.
