EMASS, also known as Eastern Missouri Alternative Sentencing Services, is a privately owned company. Founded in 1991, it serves individuals with substance abuse-related and other legal problems. The company offers probation supervision, substance abuse evaluation, outpatient treatment, presentence investigation and community services. EMASS administers clinical intervention and substance abuse traffic offenders programs. It also provides a domestic violence education seminar and aggressive offender program. The company conducts parenting and financial responsibility education seminars. EMASS offers the Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor, which is an alcohol testing system. In addition, the company administers the Required Educational Assessment and Community Treatment (R.E.A.C.T.) program.
